The founder of The Interior Designers Hub, a school teacher-turned-interior-designer, and your biggest cheerleader and mentor on this exciting, creative journey.
If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming an interior designer but felt you didn’t have the right background, perfect qualifications, or the best connections… don’t worry, I’ve been exactly where you are.
And that’s why I created the Hub — to make it easier for people like you to step confidently into the world of interior design, without the overwhelm or guesswork.

interior design
2010
Once upon a time (okay, not that long ago), I was a secondary school teacher. I loved teaching, but deep down, I felt something was missing, that creative spark I’d always had but never fully pursued. I’d often find myself daydreaming as I flicked through glossy home magazines, imagining what it might be like to become an interior designer and wondering if it was time for a new chapter, one that would push my creativity in a whole new direction.
2015
So, I took the plunge and enrolled on a short interior design course, and that small step lit a fire in me. One course led to another, and eventually, I found myself pursuing a full interior design qualification. But I’ll be honest, it wasn’t easy. The lack of support made the journey tough, and I often felt like I was muddling through on my own. As an educator, it frustrated me deeply because I knew this wasn’t how people should be taught. Still, I pushed through, determined to make it work.
2016
After qualifying, I took a leap of faith and launched my own interior design business, still teaching myself as I went, since the course had offered little real guidance. Undeterred, I poured my heart into learning, experimenting, and sharing my journey. I started a blog and a Facebook page to showcase my work and document the lessons I was learning about running a business from scratch. Before long, those honest posts began to resonate, attracting a growing community of like-minded creatives who were walking a similar path.
2018
As my community grew and trust blossomed, people began asking me to create a diploma programme, one that blended my background in education with everything I’d learned as a working interior designer. So, I did just that. I launched the first diploma with a small but mighty group of six students and, alongside it, introduced a business mentorship to guide others who, like me, were ready to turn their creative passion into a thriving business of their own.

Today, the Hub has grown into a vibrant global community of over 1,000+ aspiring and established interior designers, all united by a shared dream to build a life filled with creativity and purpose. From brave career changers taking their first leap to passionate entrepreneurs growing their design empires, we’re here to guide, empower, and celebrate them every step of the way. Together, we’re proving that with the right support, confidence, and belief, it’s entirely possible to design a business and a life you truly love.

Accreditation
All qualifications offered by The Interior Designers Hub are regulated by Ofqual and sit within the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). This guarantees that learners achieve awards that are nationally recognised, transferable, and aligned with rigorous quality assurance processes. The Diploma qualifies for 24 UCAS points.

The .ac.uk domain represents the formal academic and qualification-delivery arm of The Interior Designers Hub. For transparency, our .co.uk platform continues to host professional support, community resources, and business development opportunities. Both domains are governed under a single leadership structure, ensuring consistency, accountability, and high academic standards.
